Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor service between New York and Washington, with stops in between, is getting a bargain rate for evening to early morning travelers, with “Night Owl” fares between the two cities set at $20. The current lowest daytime fare is $31.
The fare could be especially attractive to fans attending sporting events in New York and returning home to Newark, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Baltimore and even Washington, DC. Another audience might be business travelers with an early meeting in another city.
