New Crystal credits ‘old’ Crystal losers

The owners of the new Crystal cruise line are reaching out to cruise passengers who lost their fares or deposits when the original Crystal Cruise line collapsed in bankruptcy in late 2021.

Abercrombie and Kent, which bought two of the line’s ships, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity and has started the new Crystal, is offering cruise credit to former passengers who lost money after the line shut down under its previous ownership.

They’re calling the program the Exceptional Initiative, and point out that they are not legally obligated, but want to build on customer loyalty for their new line. The credits will be worth the amount lost, minus anything refunded through the bankruptcy proceeding. Claims must be filed by June 1st on Crystal’s website.
