Now that the Oscars have been handed out and speculation has turned to the next year of features, documentaries and shorts, it seems as if there should be consideration of a new category, for Best Airline Safety Video.
There have been memorable ones over the years, some with elaborate graphics and special effects, some with comedy, and even some starring stars. Why not an award for a film, however, short, that can be so entertaining as well as promoting safety?
In that spirit, I nominate for the first year’s award this new release from British Air, starring a diverse group of figures from sport (Emma Radecanu), music (Little Simz), TV (Robert Peston), food (Chef Tom Kerridge) and designer Oswald Boateng. Here it is!
