Every fan of classic and unusual cars has an eye out for something special; it’s been the theme of many ‘Spotted on the Road’ features here on TravelGumbo. But sometimes it’s not what it seems…
One summer in Prague, not far below Prague Castle, we spotted a bonanza of ‘looks sorta like, but it sure aint’s’ all ready to offer sightseeing rides around town. They’re all basically modern models, built on a light truck chassis and gussied up to look like a Model T (above), a classic Mercedes (title image) and even a Rolls Royce.
We also spotted this elegant truck belonging to a catering company; it took a bit of close looking to be sure that it, too, is a fabulous fake.
