Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Badlands National Park

While running around beautiful Badlands National Park in South Dakota, we ran across a group of Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. I wasn’t expecting to see them in Wyoming, but apparently bighorn sheep are native to the area, however populations declined significantly due to hunting during westward expansion. I thought it was kind of interesting to see them there as the only other place I’ve seen them is here in Colorado near Rocky Mountain National Park. Has anyone else seen them at either place? They are quite fun to watch. Here are a few pictures of them from our trip to the Badlands.
