This flower parade in the Netherlands is one of the largest in the world. The Flower Parade runs on Saturday in late April from half past 10 in the morning until 21:30 hrs. During this time the parade will drive from Noordwijk to Haarlem, a trip more than 42 kilometers along various villages and cities. If you stand along the side, it will take about 1 hour before the entire flower parade is over.
My wife and I took a bus trip to visit various sites in the Netherlands. For the parade we were posted in front of a beautiful mansion in Haarlem for the duration. The floats are made from fresh flowers, mostly hyacinths and tulips.
No tickets are required, and it is a gorgeous event.
