Passengers on American Airlines flights from two small regional airports that AA serves by bus will now have a smoother ride to their ultimate flights out of Philadelphia International Airport because of new security arrangements.
Allentown/Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Atlantic City, New Jersey are connected to American’s Philadelphia hub by bus services provided through Landline, a bus operator specializing in airport runs. Starting this week, passengers can check in for their flights at the smaller airport, drop checked bags, clear security and then be delivered by bus to the secure side at Philadelphia, no longer required to clear security a second time.
Landline also operates services connecting northern Colorado’s Loveland/Ft Collins airport to United flights at Denver and shuttles Sun Country passengers to the airline’s Minneapolis hub from airports at Duluth, Minnesota, Fargo, North Dakota and Eau Claire, Wisconsin. So far, though, those still require security checks at the major airport. American also has a Landline route to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
