Brittania Hotels, with 60 locations around the UK, has won a prize no one should want—16 years running as the worst hotel chain, according to an annual survey by consumer group Which?
The chain got no more than two stars in any of the ten categories, and only one for bedrooms, bathrooms and WiFi quality, and a total customer satisfaction score of 48, compared to top ranked Hotel Indigo and Hub by Premier Inn, which scored 77 percent.
Each chain was given a star-rating across the aforementioned criteria plus breakfast, bed comfort, communal areas and decor, and ‘description matches reality, and awarded an overall customer satisfaction percentage. The survey also highlighted the average price per night of a stay, and split brands into two sections for comparison: large hotel chains and small hotel chains.
