You wouldn’t expect those TSA sniffer dogs you see at airport terminals to be calendar models in their spare time, but apparently some of them are, as TSA has issued a 12-month TSA Canine Calendar featuring more than a dozen of them.
The calendar, which unlike most is free and not a fund-raiser, can be downloaded as a .pdf and printed. The 2024 TSA Canine Calendar features photos and fun facts about each of this year’s 15 canine winners who were selected from dozens of entries submitted by TSA canine teams from across the country. Among them is the 2023 Cutest Canine Contest winner, Dina, a 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer explosives detection sniffer at Las Vegas.
TSA has more than a thousand explosive-sniffing dogs stationed at airports around the country, and trains about 300 each year in a 16-week cycle at TSA’s dog school in San Antonio.
