The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, a multi-faceted showcase for Ireland’s iconic Guinness Stout, is the “World’s Leading Tourist Attraction” for 2023, in an award announced at the World Travel Awards ceremony in Dubai.
To many, it may seem a surprising choice considering the runners-up, which included the Grand Canyon, Machu Picchu in Peru and the Taj Mahal.
The Storehouse, which also finished ahead of Niagara Falls, the Las Vegas Strip and the Acropolis in Athens, saw more than a million visitors last year. It also won an award for the second time as “World’s Leading Beer Tour Experience.”
I wonder how many kegs of beer Guiness had to provide to get top honors?
Been there, done that, but sorry. Not the top in the world. Not even the top in Ireland.
