On a recent trip to Colorado Springs, my husband and I stumbled across Santa’s Workshop on the way to Pikes Peak. For those of you who are not familiar with this place, it’s an amusement park located on Route 24 and is modeled after the Santa’s Workshop in Wilmington, Delaware.
We haven’t been there but apparently this North Pole Village contains a variety of shops selling toys, candy, and Christmas decorations. The village is also home to Santa’s Workshop itself, where children (and adults) can meet with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus year round. Much of the staff is dressed in Christmas themed attire, especially those at work in stores and admissions.
The amusement park is geared for kids 2-12 with 28 rides, many of which are classified specifically as “kiddie” rides. If you want to visit this park you will have to do it between mid-May though Christmas Eve. We hope to make it back there one year when we don’t have other plans.
