One of China’s biggest winter events, the 25th Harbin Ice and Snow World is underway, with events lasting through February. This year’s theme of “Dragons Rising on Ice and Snow, Chasing Dreams” is keyed to the 2025 Asian Winter Games, which will be held in Harbin.
The festival highlights the regional ice and snow culture with an ice and snow park that integrates ice and snow art, culture, and performance, along with incredible displays of architecture and sculpture.
Visitors can take part as well, playing on super ice slides, snowflake Ferris wheels and ski experiences. Among the shows on tap are productions featuring performers on ice bicycles and ice spinners, and for those with a taste for the truly unusual, there is a ‘vehicle ballet show.’ And for the artistically inclined, there are 232 ice sculptures to admire
