Beyond the airport lounge: Private suites

For most of us, it’s a treat to make it into an airport lounge to wait for a flight, but for some that’s apparently not enough: Chase has opened a super-luxury set of private suites within its deluxe new lounge at New York’s LaGuardia.

But you won’t get into one of them with your airline elite status or credit card connection: It takes an advance reservation and $3000 to score one of the three special suites that can accommodate a family or group of up to eight.

The suites, accessed by a private elevator, provide a sofa, some chairs and a four-place dining table, as well as high-concept decor, big-screen TVs, mood lighting, and a menu that’s elevated above what you’d find in the lounge itself. With all that comes a bathroom complete with tub, shower, supplies and decor similar to what would be found in a 5-star hotel.

Oh, by the way… that $3000 is for three hours. After that, it’s pay again or go…
