Virgin Voyages offering work-at-sea options

Remote work is getting a new option that goes beyond working from home or taking a ‘workation’ to a resort area: Virgin Voyages is selling a Summer Season Pass that offers four back-to-back cruises with full facilities for working-at-sea.

First offered a month or so ago on the line’s Scarlet Lady, it’s now being offered on Resilient Lady as well. Resilient sails Mediterranean cruises from Athens; Scarlet from Barcelona.

The package includes upgraded satellite Wi-Fi, a cabin for two with balcony, free laundry service and access to a bar normally reserved for suite passengers, as well as a $10 coffee credit per cabin. With passes starting at $9,990 per couple, it seems a bit odd that there’s a charge for coffee… but maybe that’s just to remind customers what it was like to chip in for the coffee club when they went to work at work!
