Azalea Trail, Nacogdoches, Texas

I visited the largest azalea garden in Texas during the time of peak bloom! Located on the campus of Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, the Ruby M. Mize Azalea Garden is eleven acres of splendor in the spring.

The weather was chilly for East Texas as we meandered the cultivated garden path. In the spring sunshine we enjoyed the varieties and colors, and admired the Japanese maples that dot the landscape.
