Cuartel de Ballajá, San Juan, Puerto Rico

The Cuartel de Ballajá, in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, was built in 1864. The name translates as Ballajá Barracks, and served as the home for Spanish Militia soldiers and their families. Today, it is home to the Museo de las Americas and the Puerto Rican Acadamy of the Spanish Language.
