One of the things I miss about California are its sunsets. The air in the state is pretty polluted, but that does lend itself to some beautiful colors when the sun goes below the horizon.
These photos were taken in the Owens Valley in Eastern California. The two photos below are looking west, where the setting sun is being blocked by the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
