A survey of British holiday-makers sponsored by EasyJet Holidays reports that 94% of those surveyed have had a beach day interrupted by annoying behavior and one in four has left a beach day early because of it.
Among the behaviors cited were activities that make a lot of noise or behavior that distracts from the natural beauty of the beach, such as public displays of attention, wearing overly revealing swimwear or dancing or doing headstands for photoshoots, especially by influencers.
The top three annoyances on the list were noisy children, litterbugs and loud music, but loud phone calls and feeding seagulls were also in the top ten. The survey also indicated that 45% would rather put up with the annoyance than confront bothersome individuals.
