London-to-the-Alps ski sleeper planned

European Sleeper, one of the companies operating overnight sleeper trains across Europe is planning a new route from Brussels to Innsbruck, Austria and on to Venice through the Italian Alps, with a connection in Brussels for British skiers.

Travelers from the UK would use dedicated coach services and then Eurostar to meet the proposed “Good Night Train” in Brussels. Innsbruck has been popular with British skiers, and the company hopes it will find a market with people who prefer not to drive or fly.

No fares announced yet, but plans are for it to run on a February to Easter schedule in 2025, traveling from Wednesday on Brussels and returning from Venic on Sundays. The train can accommodate 750 passengers and the company says that if demand is strong, it may add trains. Travel time is 15 hours to Innsbruck and 20 to Venice.
