Royal Caribbean matches loyalty tier status

Royal Caribbean Group is opening new chances for its loyal customers to enjoy elite status benefits across all three of its brands—Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea—by matching tier status across its loyalty programs

The program allows members of Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society, Celebrity Cruises’ Captain’s Club, and Silversea’s Venetian Society to enjoy reciprocal tier status regardless of which brand they sail with. The company has more than 50 ships sailing to nearly 1,000 destinations across all seven continents.

It’s the first major cruise company to offer such a status match across its brands, giving loyalty members another reason to experience all of Royal Caribbean’s lines. The practice is more common among hotel chains and airlines.

For customers who are already enrolled in more than one of the programs, the company will have an automatic match; those who aren’t enrolled in the plan for the ship they’re about to sail on will just need to connect their new account to the existing account. The new benefits have been applied to sailings starting last month.
