To commemorate World Chocolate Day, July 7, Holland America Cruises teamed up with Holland America Line Culinary Ambassador Jacques Torres and Lindt’s Master Chocolatier Ann Czaja to create the sweetest ship in its fleet, Chocodam.
Chocodam is a stunning, over 4-foot-long, 50-pound replica of the Pinnacle Class ship Rotterdam, made entirely of three types of indulgent Lindt chocolate. This chocolate masterpiece is now on display at the Lindt store in New York City for the entire month.
Lindt chocolate desserts, including a signature tulip-shaped Lindt chocolate mousse cake, will also be featured. Tulips are an enduring Dutch symbol and reflect Holland America Line’s founding in the Netherlands 150 years ago.
“We’re thrilled to align ourselves with Lindt, a globally beloved brand and one of the world’s leading chocolatiers, to launch an initiative that represents our deep connection to Europe and elevates the culinary experience on board,” said Michael Stendebach, vice president of food, beverage and rooms division for Holland America Line. “We hope our guests take the opportunity to indulge in all the special moments this partnership offers.”
