Volunteer uniforms are among the items in the big clearance sale
As part of its pledge to make the Paris Olympics sustainable and to ‘reuse and recycle,’ France’s Olympic organizers have now organized a series of Olympic flea markets, or Grandes braderies des Jeux, to be held in different cities around the country.
Just about everything you could want—except for medals, of course—will be on sale, including the volunteer uniforms and their hats, towels used by the athletes, flags and decorative items and, of course, left-over official merch such as T-shirts and caps.
Prices run as low as €1 for cups, €5-10 for shirts and flags and as much as €60 for “the most exceptional items.” Sales started last weekend in Saint-Denis and Mulhouse, and will continue in Pantin, Rouen, Nanterre, Caen, Lille, Compiegne and more on a rolling schedule over the next four weeks, with several cities on each date.
