Just what Orlando needs—another big theme park—has set May 22 as its opening date. Universal Epic Universe and the Universal Helios Grand Hotel share the opening date for what the company says will “redefine the theme park experience.”
Epic Universe has five lands, one of which serves as a sort of grand lobby for the other four, which are dedicated to Harry Potter, Universal Classic Monsters, Nintendo and How To Train Your Dragon.
Although Epic Universe is about 3 miles down the road from Universal Orlando’s other two parks, transportation will be available between all three Universal theme parks and all of Universal’s hotels, including the Helios Grand and the two other hotels coming to Epic Universe.
