2024 has been one of the busiest years for air travel, expected to set a record when the rest of this month is added in.
And more of those people are flying between Taipei and Hong Kong than anywhere else. That’s according to the latest data from OAG, a data platform for the aviation industry.
OAG ranks the routes around the world by the number of seats, not flights. In general, the heaviest routes found were mostly in Asia, with only one North American route in the top 10, the route between New York JFK and London Heathrow, with more than 4 million seats. The Hong Kong-Taipei route had 6.8 million seats.
