Say Goodbye to the DC-10; Last Passenger Flights Next Month

The DC-10, last plane to carry the Douglas name and almost the last 3-engine jet in active service, will see its last passenger flight within the next month as Birman Bangladesh airlines replaces it with 777s. And not too long after, KLM will retire its MD-11s, the only other 3-jet plane in passenger service. The DC-10 will live on in cargo service, though: It’s the mainstay of the FedEx fleet. DETAILS

The good ole DC-10.   That was the plane that took us places.  Sorry to see her go, but on to the modern fleets.  Hope to visit this aircraft in the museum in Seattle.
