Florida wants you to come see the doctor

Florida legislators are pushing legislation that would encourage medicla tourism to Florida. Travel to seek medical care is a $10 to $60 billion industry worldwide, and they believe Florida would be an attractive destination.

 

One legislator pointed out that it’s nothing totally new for Florida: “Medical tourism has existed in Florida since Ponce de Leon set out in search of the Fountain of Youth,” said state Sen. Aaron Bean.  MORE from the Miami Herald.
