British “Holiday Taxes” Up 27% Since 2008

An average  British family of four contributes £200 to Government’s taxes every time they go on a trip overseas. This amount is up 27% from 2008. according to the Taxpayers Alliance. The tax amount is greatly affected by the increases in the  Air Passenger Duty, which all passengers pay that are departing from Britain

That’s a huge expense.  Enough for a basic hotel room and a few meals for the day.
