Funny, I never noticed that man on the balcony…someone must have been looking hard for a clue!
Perhaps tomorrow I’ll give you one…
It looks like the kind of place where you could get some hardy food, like schnitzel, bratwurst, maybe some roast duck or even goulash.
Germans like heavy steel decorations like that. I wonder if this is in Germany?
I’ve been cheered up in many places, and seen heavy ironwork in a lot of places, too…so don’t stop guessing, Gumbo Guessers….
You may be right…I may be crazy…as the song goes…
Ok with that hint I’m going with one of my initial thoughts….Cafe Sacher in Vienna? My other guess would be Cafe Gerbaud in Budapest, window frames look identical however I don’t remember the lower balcony but lighting sconces look similar.

What strikes me is that person on the balcony. They seem to be staring right at Gumbo or looking at that same heavy Ironwork!

At first I thought it was the building the tv show Cheers was based on but it’s not. Still guessing…
Actually, not what you’d typically go there for…although they have created a full-meal space more recently. More a place where you’d expect to get your just desserts. (wink, wink)
