I’m quick to confess — I’ve a weakness for dessert, especially of the oven-baked or gelato kind. It’s nothing new, an affliction I’ve had for as long as I can remember, making me very sympathetic to the, “Let’s eat dessert first” crowd. Fortunately, I don’t have a gluten allergy or diabetes (or I’d need to make some major and unwelcome adjustments).
Of the buffets I’ve visited in Las Vegas, my favorite is the Bellagio’s Sunday Brunch spread, which I always head back to when I’m in town on a weekend. There are dozens and dozens of delicious hot and cold food items ranging from salads to sushi to carved ham and turkey, far too many choices for even a shutterbug like me to try to “document”, but their dessert table certainly caught my attention! Trays of wonderful, freshly-prepared pastries, each in portions small enough that everyone could try several (if not all). Each one I sampled was superb!
So it’s my great pleasure to share with you the “Desserts of the Bellagio”, as I found them several months ago. Enjoy! Which would you take first?
This is a lovely article but it makes me feel fat just reading it!! 🙂
Imagine how fat I felt after doing the cropping and photo editing, Mac?
Hence, from now on, we eat dessert first!
Heading for the treadmill now. Thanks!
The buffet is as good as it looks! I recommend the cheesecake!
Do you find Dessert first leaves no room for a main meal ?
And secondly – if its that delicious – who cares !
It’s not like you’re doing this at home now – or is it ?
This is a lovely article but it makes me feel fat just reading it!! 🙂
GarryRF,
As you know if we were to constantly indulge in a spread like this, we’d be rolling in like beach balls instead of walking in. It’s just a treat. Desserts at home are much simpler fare, but always enjoyed!
PHeymont — they’d never leave!
Now there’s an idea…instead of ordinary tables, there could be treadmills, stationary bikes, stairclimbers and so forth, each with a small table top for the dessert. As you worked off the calories of each serving, you could go get another…
Who’d want to! What a retirement option!
