In a change to its usual consumer outreach, Marriott corp, one of the world’s largest hoteliers, will begin publishing an online travel magazine. Marriott sees it as a way to expand it’s brand and, hopefully, attract new guests to its hotels.
If things go according to plan, Marriott International Inc. could become the world’s largest publisher of travel articles online during the next few years. Marriott Traveler, a digital publication will publish city-specific information. New Orleans is the first city to be featured in the e-magazine, with an impressive three dozen plus stories on the Big Easy which cover a broad range of topics ranging from micro-brews to cuisine of a variety of types.
