Overwhelming numbers of us rely on GPS apps and devices on the road, but for planning a trip or getting the “big picture,” nothing really beats maps, especially updated ones with lots of data and extras. That’s what keeps map publishers going, and keeps me buying.
Rand McNally, one of the big names, has just published its 2016 editions of their U.S. Road Atlases. They come in several versions, including an e-book and an iOS app, but the mainstay is the 12×15 “big book” that has an alternate spiral-bound version. More info at RM’s website
