I recently traveled to Beijing, China and took the tour of The Forbidden City. It is truly awe inspiring, both in its size and in the size of the crowds who visit it every day. The palace trades the opulence of European palaces for the open space that was not available in Beijing.

A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
