Update: Did complaints force out Frontier CEO?

Dave Siegel, CEO of Frontier Airlines is out; the airline says his resignation was for “personal reasons,” but Frontier Barry Biffle told the Denver Post that the changes at the top are meant to help fix the carrier’s operational issues.

Frontier was named in a JD Power study as the lowest airline in customer satisfaction a few days ago; just days before that the Department of Transportation listed Frontier as having generated the most complaints of any airline and having the worst on-time record. Frontier has spent the last couple of years transitioning into an ultra low-cost carrier, charging only basic fares and charging fees for everything else, including carry-ons.
