The city of Melbourne (Australia) is my home town, and I enjoy being a tourist in my own city. It has been called one of the most livable cities in the world, and I can only agree with that.
The central downtown area makes for interesting cityscapes with its mixture of old and new architecture, and I am always looking for unusual ways to photograph them. I caught this reflection of buildings on a glass skyscraper and managed to capture that mix of the old and new but in a slightly warped image which was created by the mirrored windows. Some of the older buildings date back to the mid to late 1800’s when Melbourne was a boom town which was growing at a phenomenal rate due to the then gold rush throughout the state of Victoria.
