While it’s not the largest lake in Montana’s Glacier National Park, it certainly has one of the prettiest settings. Looking west towards the Continental Divide from the eastern bank, you have the view you see above.
Looking east from the western bank, you get this great scene of the classic Many Glacier hotel. It was built by the Great Northern Railway a century ago, is the largest hotel in the park, and has a scenic setting that’s pretty hard to beat.

I was visiting a friend, and this was the view from their house. I could understand why they built their house facing this direction. I was taken by the beauty!

A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
