The young elephant, in his first starring role, approaches the scene in search of supper, and begins grazing. The human guests were told to stay as still as possible. But then one of them, perhaps more curious than was advisable, turns to make eye contact with the elephant, and the elephant takes it as an invitation to come to the table.
