This past weekend we spent a few wonderful (if chilly) hours on the shore of Lake Coeur d’Alene in the Idaho panhandle. As it was a crystal clear sunny day, the eagles were easy to spot and present in large numbers, as discussed previously at this link. We saw several dozen bald eagles, many quite close to us sitting in trees, even more flying across the lake in search of spawning kokanee salmon…..
