The world’s most visited destination, the Grand Bazaar, in Istanbul is set to undergo a $33.5 million, decade long facelift. It’s mainly to be financed by Turkish authorities and also the owners of the more than 3,000 shops in the bazaar agreed to contribute.

Concrete tunnels will be built to allow water to pass and also  carry the electrical wiring which now hangs from the bazaar’s walls.
