Kuwait to take travelers DNA samples later this year

Kuwait will require its citizens, temporary residents and tourists to submit DNA samples. Collections for visitors will be done at a special center at Kuwait International Airport.

This law was passed by the General Assembly last July following a terrorist attack

You’ve seen Florida sand in abundance Rob.

No need to see it all again.

Nor will I, Rob (not that it was on my list, in any case, so no loss).  And we thought the full-body scanners were invasive!

This is amazingly creepy.  Perhaps they want to run genetic profiles on their visiting guests — things that might tell them if they have, say, a Jewish heritage.  I don’t think the Kuwaiti monarchy has any idea of how most people will react to such a test, but they also might not care.
