Returning from a recent visit with my father, I arrived at Winnipeg International Airport in time to enjoy a gorgeous sunset, complete with silhouetted plane taking off into the golden light of dusk. Beautiful! Minutes later our plane boarded and we flew into the now dark evening sky.

A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
