Last week’s puzzle ended with some thoughts about freedom and liberty, so we might as well begin this one with a familiar figure. Or at least a representation of a familiar figure, because this is clearly NOT the one in the harbor.
Where she is, and what’s around her are the question, and The Puzzler means to live up to his name for a while, and then start to ease the path to the solution. If you’re sharp, you may get it early; if you’re persistent you’re likely to succeed in the end. The Puzzler wishes you all luck!

Something fishy about today’s clue…
A very limited exterior view…but not without solid hints, both in the names and the style. Starting tomorrow, double clues and more specificity!
Here are the Saturday clues…and if you can name the statue in the first one, you can name the city Gumbo’s in…and the second shows the interesting junction where the building’s classical plan ran out of funds…and was continued later.
