You’d think it was a rule: All three of the world’s greenest places, ranked by the Sustainable Destinations Top 100, start with the letter ‘B’—Brittany, Bali and Bhutan.
Brittany was noted in the study for “embracing sustainability principles as development priority” since 2006, and for creating over 1000 km of bike paths, as well as work on historic preservation. Also cited was the establishement of France’s first marine-based national park, Iroise Marine Park in Finestère.
