Swiss ski resort Verbier opened for the season last week, with an event that you don’t see everyday: 1200 Santas on skis, lured by free passes for anyone in Christmas gear.
It’s the third year for the stunt, which saw this year’s total double last year’s.
Those who reserved in advance got free tickets on a special train from Geneva, and all got wine, cheese and other goodies during the day. The town also arranged a mass photo, by drone, with participants dancing to the Village People’s YMCA song.
