If you don’t know yet where you’re going for Labor Day, Expedia can tell you where the neighbors are going.
Not yours, personally…don’t worry. But they have tracked sales of tickets and other indicators, and compiled a list of the top 10 places Americans are traveling this year for Labor Day. Here they are:
- New York
- Las Vegas
- Los Angeles
- Orlando
- Chicago
- Seattle
- San Francisco
- Denver
- Dallas
- Atlanta
The rankings appear to be driven in part by cost; Las Vegas, for example, is twice as popular as last year and 10% cheaper. That’s true for a number of destinations ranked lower, such as Honolulu and Austin.
Internationally, Rekyjavik is 25% cheaper and shows twice the bookings. Paris and Barcelona are doing well; they’re not cheap, but cheaper than last year.
