River cruise line hooks up with dating app

A singles cruise hooked up with dating app The League is U by Uniworld’s latest attempt at finding a niche for its boutique cruise line aimed at millenials.

U by Uniworld, the boutique river cruise started out inviting only 21-45 year olds to its party, hoping to win them over with youthful decor, evening shore excursions to bars and clubs, and selfie stations, along with onboard ‘media influencers.’

Before the ships, called The A and The B, took off on their first cruises this spring, U decided the rest of us could come, too. In the new turn, only League members (at $175 per year for membership) are invited to the singles cruise, which sails August 11.

The League’s founder describes the app as “designed to give busy people an efficient way to find partners who meet their education level and professional requirements.”
