There IS something new under the sun, at least as far as motel breakfasts are concerned.
We’ve seen all kinds, from from extensive buffets to packaged pastries to self-service waffle makers, but until earlier this month, never an automatic pancake maker.
Press a button, and in under a minute two pancakes slide out from between the rollers and onto your plate, next to the gallon pump of (not actually maple) syrup.
The computerized machine bakes the pancakes on a teflon delivery belt, fed from a pre-mixed bag of batter inside the machine. It doesn’t make the best pancakes in the world, but that may not matter—especially to kids!
How cool is that!?!! 🙂
I saw one of these at my hotel in Hamberg (I think).
