Winners have been announced for this year’s Drone Photography contest, part of the Siena International Photo Awards organized by Art Photo Travel, a non-profit that promotes photography-based cultural events.
The winners were selected from among 4400 entrants, the most since the contest began in 2015. The numbers and quality of the work testify to the flying camera’s evolution from a hobbyist toy to a tool for serious photographers, as well as for surveyors, pipeline companies and more.
The overall winner, above, of a polar bear, was taken by Florian Ledoux in the Lancaster Sound Marine Protected Area of Nunavut, Canada. For a gallery of twenty winning images from the Telegraph (UK), click HERE
