A few Paris images from my wife’s 1988 trip accompanying our oldest daughter on a graduation tour of Europe; they have a different tonal quality that reminds me of linen-era postcards.
The top image, especially, shows how much has changed in that time; the Arch of Triumph of the Carrousel, near the Louvre, was surrounded by parking lots and temporary structures. All that changed in later years with the redevelopment of the Louvre and the building of the Pyramide.
