It may look and feel still like summer, but Autumn must be in the air because the Dallas Arboretum is ready to sell tickets for its annual Pumpkin Village and other fall events.
The event, named by Country Living Magazine as one of “the Best Fall Festivals,” will feature more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squashes, along with 150,000 autumn flowers. The pumpkins and squash are from a major nearby growing area at Floydada, Texas.
Centerpiece of the event is Pumpkin Village featuring a quartet of 20-foot-tall decorated pumpkin houses. The festival kicks off September 19 and runs through November 1st, featuring a variety of events including cooking demos, Tiny Tot Tuesdays and more. On weekends, live bands will play in the afternoon.
