If you’re used to searching the internet for best airfares, you’re probably familiar with ‘aggregators’ like Kayak and Momondo that scan dozens to hundreds of other search sites to find the best deals. A great tool, but up to now one not available for vacation rentals.
For that, you’ve mostly had to search each site individually, or just stick to one from the universe of Airbnb, VRBO, Homeaway, Booking.com and more, often finding the same listings at different prices and rules.
That’s changed now, according to a report by Pauline Frommer, who recently wrote about VacationHomeRents.com, which has been around only since August. Not only wrote about it: Tested it out on a variety of scenarios in different locations, and found that it consistently found a wide range of choices.
By wide range, that includes both typical apartments and hotels but also such esoteric but useful choices as stationary RVs and floating options, as well as high-end luxury places.
